Discuss Production pricing

Whether TravelTime is used internally for commercial work or externally in a customer-facing product, you must speak to our team about a subscription.

//How TravelTime pricing works

Two factors shape your price

Every TravelTime price is based on: the capacity your application needs, and the service level you need from us. We do not price on the number of requests, locations, routes or results you consume.

1

Capacity

Capacity is provisioned throughput, measured in hits per minute (HPM). We agree the peak throughput you need and provision it for your subscription term.

2

Service level

Service level is the assurance you need around the API. This includes the level of support, SLAs, Enterprise controls like single-sign-on and multi-factor authentication.

What your subscription pays for

TravelTime plans give you access to our data, modelling and compute, plus the rights to put TravelTime inside your product.

Accurate multimodal transit models

Proprietary transport data and models for driving, public transport, walking and cycling.

High performance at huge scale

Infrastructure built to calculate enormous numbers of travel times quickly and consistently.

Production reliability and support

Service, support and operational assurance needed for a dependable integration.

Contractual data rights & caching

Rights to use, cache and integrate results in the way your product and architecture need.

//Build without fear

Predictable pricing by design

Buying TravelTime is like buying cloud. Your usage can move freely within the capacity we keep ready for you.

This means you know the capacity you’re working with from the start. Not faced by different bills every month.

Workload through the dayProvisioned capacity
//Test for free

Free frictionless testing

Testing is uncapped and untimed.

We can provision unlimited access at any scale for as long as your evaluation needs, because a long-term partnership only works if you've proven the accuracy and performance first.

Who TravelTime
isn’t for

TravelTime isn’t competitive at low volume. If you make a few thousand calls a month, a pay-as-you-go provider could be cheaper.

Customers come to us when per-request billing has become the constraint on what they can build — when the meter is shaping the product. That's the problem the TravelTime model solves.

TravelTime pricing FAQs

How pricing works

A fixed annual subscription is priced on provisioned capacity (hits per minute) and service level. No usage fees, no per-call charges. Developer keys are free forever. Contact us for a quote.

No. We don't meter requests, and we don't intend to. Usage-based pricing limits what you can build, so it isn't a model we offer.

Destinations aren't counted — 1 origin against 100 destinations is 1 hit, and 10 origins against 10 million destinations is 10 hits. Geocoding, Map Tiles and the Data API aren't counted at all.

  • 1 x H3 origin or arrival
  • 1 x Geohash origin or arrival
  • 1 x Isochrone origin or arrival
  • 1 x Matrix call (per origin / arrival - no destination)
  • 1 x 100 = 1 hit
  • 100 x 100 = 100 hits
  • 10 x 10,000,000 = 10 hits

On a Production subscription, Geocoding, Map Tiles and the Data API are not limited at all.

You get a 429 and can retry. Nothing is billed as overage and nothing is lost. You can always get the result you need but at peak you may wait longer for it.

Never. You pay what we agreed and nothing more. If your capacity needs to change, we agree a new configuration before the price changes.

No. We don't charge on locations, elements, points or results. There is also no limit on the free tier.

No. Every customer gets every endpoint, dataset and model. We don't sell partial access, and there's no discount for using less of it.

GBP, USD, EUR, AUD and NZD.

Limits and usage rights

Yes, and we encourage it. Production subscriptions include caching, retention, refresh and reuse rights, documented in your Order.

On a Production subscription, yes — all three, with no request cap and no effect on your provisioned throughput. Developer keys get up to 10,000 requests each.

An API providing POI data, geocoding, map tiles, environmental data, and demographic and population data. It's included with a Production subscription at no extra cost.

Yes. Traffic-aware driving, full-schedule public transport, cycling and walking, across every endpoint, globally.

Yes, anywhere legal. Note that some mapping libraries require isochrone results to be displayed on their own basemap — check your provider's terms.

Yes. Every key type gets TravelTime's best accuracy. We don't hold back model quality by tier.

GeoJSON, KML, WKT and GeoJSON-to-KML. Loads directly into QGIS and ArcGIS. WKT suits databases and warehouses such as PostGIS, Snowflake and BigQuery.

Subscription and terms

No. If TravelTime is part of a process or product that makes money, that's commercial use and it needs a Production subscription — including internal commercial use, not just customer-facing products.

Yes. We provision unlimited access for evaluation, at any scale, for as long as you need to be sure.

Minimum 12 months.

You can upgrade capacity at any point during your term, including temporary uplifts planned in advance.

We classify public sector use as commercial.

Free access for students at undergraduate level and below. Institutional access is classified as commercial use.
